The City of Burbank is a unique urban community nestled between the Hollywood Hills and the Verdugo Mountains in the heart of Los Angeles County. The Public Works Department is supported by an annual FY2023-24 budget of $19.4 million and approximately 192 staff. Reporting to the Public Works Director, the Assistant Public Works Director – Fleet & Building oversees the division that operates, maintains, and repairs City-owned equipment and buildings.
Burbank seeks an experienced, driven, customer-service oriented leader with a successful project, fiscal, and operational management history in facilities and/or fleet maintenance. Experience in budget development, forecasting, and management is essential, as is the ability to work within municipal procurement rules and regulations.

Candidates will possess any combination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Example combination includes a Bachelor's and eight years of experience performing complex, professional-level administrative analysis and project management, with at least four years of experience supervising equipment and/or building management. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary range is $139,404 - $183,317 DOQE, supplemented by competitive benefits. Closes: Sunday, December 17, 2023
