The Alameda County Water District (ACWD) seeks an experienced and collaborative public finance professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and values cross-organization partnerships. They will have broad finance experience and a strong customer orientation. Competitive candidates will possess 8 years of finance experience, including 4 years in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree in a related field. The Finance Department, supported by a talented team of 12 staff, plays a central role in maintaining the District’s strong financial position and transparency. The Department provides comprehensive financial services.
ACWD supplies reliable, high-quality drinking water to nearly 350,000 residents through approximately 88,000 service connections within a 105-square-mile service area that serves the cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City. With an FY 2025-26 budget of $203.7 million and 243 FTE positions, the District is financially stable, with a AAA bond rating, and has a reputation for being well-managed.
