Located in San Mateo County, California, the Central County Fire Department (CCFD) serves the Cities of Burlingame and Millbrae and the Town of Hillsborough. The Department serves a population of 66,045 from six fire stations across a service area of approximately 15 square miles. CCFD is supported by 91 FTEs and a FY2023-24 operating budget of $33.14 million. The HR Manager is a recently approved position and will coordinate all HR functions for the Department.  
 
CCFD seeks a hands-on HR professional with a solid foundation in public sector personnel management. This knowledgeable individual will have a well-rounded background and understanding of the various human resources disciplines with particular strength in labor relations. As the sole service provider in Human Resources, they will enjoy multi-tasking and working on a variety of projects and priorities in a supportive and collaborative organization. A Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of increasingly responsible HR experience are expected.  
 
Salary range $144,630 - $175,799; salary supplemented by highly competitive benefits. Placement within range DOQE. Closes 11:59pm Sunday, June 16, 2024.
